Meet Our Teachers
Laurene Randle, M.A. CCC-SLP
Laurene loves being the owner and lead teacher of Brilliant Bloomers Nursery School because her passion is teaching preschool. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa, cum laude from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN in 1998 with a bachelor of science, double major in Biology and Spanish. Her plan was to get her PhD in Neurolinguistics, but after working for a year as a research assistant in a neurology lab, she realized that what she really wanted was to teach children.
Laurene received a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2001 and began her career as a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist in California, where she taught a language-intensive pre-K/Kindergarten class 5 mornings per week. Teaching soon became Laurene's passion and she continued to teach pre-K for 4 1/2 years until deciding to be a stay-at-home mom. Laurene loved being a stay-at-home mom to her two girls, but missed teaching. So, after moving to Wells in 2010, she created and taught the Talkin' Toddlers program through the Wells Parks and Rec (2011-2012). Laurene then set her heart on starting her own preschool and opened the doors of Brilliant Bloomers in 2013! She feels that her advanced degree in child development, her extensive experience as both a preschool teacher and as a pediatric speech therapist, along with her love of artistic expression, have made her exceptionally qualified to help our Brilliant students Bloom!
Kirsten Glove, AA
Children are Ms. Kirsten’s FAVORITE and she is very excited to be back as a part of the Brilliant Bloomers team! Kirsten began working with children at age 10 and has always been called to help children use their voice, their imagination, and find joy in things big and small. Kirsten attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC where she also worked as a professional special needs nanny. In 2011 she moved to Maine to have a family of her own. The focus on expression, education, and guided play at Brilliant Bloomers led her to choose our school for her own four children. We are so happy that Brilliant Bloomers is where she remains to this day!!
Mary Madigan, B.A.
Before joining the Brilliant Bloomers team, Mary spent 11 years as a stay-at-home mom for her two children, for which she feels blessed. Ms. Mary received a B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology from UNH in 2003. Her work experience prior to becoming a stay-at-home mom was also child and adolescent-focused. Ms. Mary has had extensive experience as a Youth and Family Counselor, as well as K-8 substitute teacher. She joined our team in November, 2023, and has been a valuable addition to Brilliant Bloomers!
Billie-Jo Rodrigue, CNA
Billie began her childcare career at a childcare center, where she worked for three years. Afterward, she transitioned to the medical field for several years before deciding to stay at home with her children. During this time, she also started her own in-home childcare business, where she enjoyed spending time outdoors exploring nature and and doing arts and crafts with the kids. Her 2nd son attended Brilliant Bloomers, and when her youngest was old enough, she already knew it was the perfect preschool for him, too! This led Billie to join the Brilliant Bloomers family!
