First-Rate Curriculum

At Brilliant Bloomers we PLAY with our letters and numbers, because each of them has its own silly personality! Who wouldn't want to laugh about a number who thinks he's a cowboy or one that has his own rap song?! We love our letter animals (each with its own specifically-chosen puppet, story, and personality) because they do crazy things; such as paint Zs all over the school, put musical instruments in his mother's kangaroo pouch, or do ridiculous kitty-like things while getting ready for school! We use play-based learning further by incorporating multisensory teaching techniques in every part of our day. We do very little pencil-to-paper work. Instead, we sing, dance, create, move, watch, and laugh, because children learn more when they understand and love what they're learning! By teaching in a multisensory fashion, learning feels just like PLAY! Our graduates start elementary school highly-prepared for kindergarten with a strong community spirit, self confidence, a solid academic foundation, great friends, and a love of learning!

Our Brilliant Bloomers benefit from:

A highly-educated and experienced lead teacher with a master's degree in child language development and 18 years of teaching experience (preschool, pre-K, and kindergarten).
Maximum of 12 kids with 2 teachers
A very welcoming parent group who organize after-school community playdates
An annual town-wide pirate treasure hunt!!
Daily Yoga time, which exercises our brains and our bodies
A large outdoor playground
3 indoor play rooms, including a movement play room with a climbing frame, slide, and ball pit
Opportunities for parents to volunteer in the classroom
Daily art and theme-related activities
Our own unique curriculum designed with input from K teachers in our community
A holiday concert and a full-school theater production when all children help to create our shows and perform!
